DARUSSALAAM MUSLIM CEMETERY PROJECT

Buy a Graveyard NOT a Grave!

(Donation of $5,000/family)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Brothers and sisters in Islam, we often strive tirelessly to build homes that we and our families may live in for a few decades, forgetting the reality that our ultimate resting place — the grave — will house us for far longer. Sadly, securing a proper burial plot becomes a significant challenge for many families, particularly during sudden bereavements. Currently, it costs between $8,000 and $13,000 depending on cemeteries.

Recognizing this need, we, on behalf of the Muslim Ummah, have embarked on a mission to secure a 114-acre burial land in Bargo, only 30 minutes away from Campbelltown. This ambitious project, costing nearly $20 million, requires collective support of our community.

To make this vision achievable, we are seeking donation of $5,000 per family from 4,000 pioneer families. A donation of $5,000 will secure 4 dedicated burial plots for a pioneer family. Beyond this immediate benefit, there are several key features:

                1) Muslim-owned and managed cemetery to ensure everything aligns with Islamic values.
                2) Proper burial according to Islamic rituals.
                3) 16,000 reserved burial plots/graves for pioneers, ensuring proximity for families.
                4) Remaining burial plots/graves (around 84,000) will serve as waqf,  supporting Muslims in need.
                5) Continuous rewards (Hasanah) for donors, as their contributions enable affordable burial plots for other brothers and sisters.
                6) Single graves, avoiding the controversial double-grave practice prevalent in other cemeteries.
                7) Dedicated family space — subject to technical feasibility side-by-side burial of family members.
                8) Affordable — Nearly one-fourth of the cost of other cemeteries.
                9) On-site Muslim facilities — Everything needed for a dignified Islamic burial.

Yes, subject to technical feasibility. We are reserving 16,000 burial spaces for pioneers, and we can arrange (subject to technical feasibility) sets of four adjacent burial spaces for families who wish to be buried together.

Our strategy is straightforward. We only need 4,000 families to contribute $5,000 each, which will total $20 million, the amount required to get the project up and running.

Yes, we have a business plan in place to establish revenue-generating projects on the land. This will help provide ongoing financial support for the project's costs.
